Catch up...

OK... so sorry I haven't updated in so long but I've been crazy busy with Studio stuff.
Mom's surgery on the 19th went very well. She was in the OR for 8 minutes and was out of the hospital by 9:30. She's doing just fine. She's been using her hand a little more each day and she got the stitches out yesterday. Also set up her surgery for the other hand.
Relay for Life was very nice. Sorta stunk because I rained pretty much all day long, stopped just long enough to put up the tents and take them down afterward. It was a great day though because we all got to bond a lot. Took a few laps with a couple people and we really connected. The performance went well. Minus the fact that the microphones weren't all on, as shown by the fact that I could not hear myself singing when I went to take a solo for the first time. After a few of us went out for dinner and I got to bond more with a few different people. It was great.
The concert was FANTASTIC!! Rehearsal was a ton of fun... we got through everything nice and fast and then a few of us decided to jam out to our favorite group song around the piano. Tons of bonding these two days! The concert truly was a hit. It was full of surprises. I was asked to Stage Manage both of the shows. The Juniors were so adorable... I have a few little buddies in that group because I helped with their show a few weeks ago. I got a couple hugs and they all melted my heart.
The Studio/Company show was just amazing. I am so lucky to be a part of this Studio. There is sooooo much talent it blows me away! I got to see people in action today. It was great. I guess I surprised a lot of people with my song. So many people kept coming up to me, mouth gaping wide, just in awe that I got that high. A few people told me that I was their favorite! :O I messed up a little, and my nemesis Cadenza was dicey, but all in all the performance was great. People told me that I looked so comfortable on stage that it was like I belonged there... IF THEY ONLY KNEW!!!! I was practically flipping out backstage before I went on. If you want full details, email me and I can give you a blow by blow, or I should say note by note, recount of the song or night. My Boss.. aka my Coach... surprised me multiple times on that night. The first was when I walked in. She said hello, then told me to close my eyes. When she told me to open them, there was a bag from a jewlery store in her hand and she handed it to me. I was FLOORED! I couldn't believe that she did that... a pair of absolutely gorgeous earrings, and she asked me if I liked them and told me if I didn't I could take them back... OMG... if I didn't like them, HA they were beautiful and completely unnecessary, but I would never take them back! Then at the end of the show my Coach was giving the Seniors that were graduating high school a little gift of congrats to celebrate their achievements, a frame with a group picture of the Studio. Well, as she was giving them out there was an extra one and as I'm about to hand it to her she looks at me and says it's for me. Funny thing is, I was the one who put together the frames!
Wednesday through Saturday, well even now, I was sick... I think the past few weeks were catching up with me, but I'm better now.
So, that's about it for now I think... you want to know anything else let me know.. Thanks Rachel for calling and I wish I could have been home to talk to you for a little bit. I saw you got Skype up, so maybe we can talk that way soon!
Alrighty, until later! Toodles!
