Not much...
March 11, 2010
has been going on. That's why I haven't written much lately. Not too many interesting things have happened. I've mostly been working and doing about 5 projects in the past 2 weeks or so, and it will all start to slow down after tomorrow. I've been enjoying the projects though. I had a neat project for my digital media class where I had to design my own graphical user interface (the thing you look at and interact with on a computer). Then I've had 2 Public Relations projects... one was a social media release (for the Internet, has links, pictures and videos) for the opening of a musical on Broadway... :) :) BIG TIME SMILES! This was the coolest project for me because that is exactly what I'd love to do to mesh my love of theatre and my enjoyment from doing PR and advertising. Speaking of ads... I had a project due in that class too. Did 3 magazine ads and a billboard for a snack product. Then I had a major paper due in my Jane Austen class.. and tomorrow my Broadcasting Radio paper is due. Finally, my costume project for my theatre class is due next week. Fun times huh? I'll add a few of these to the photoshop page. I'm gunna rework the site a little so it works a little better.
I helped a friend with a show last week and it went really well. He got to play one of the hottest night clubs around and did a great job. I'm also helping another friend and his band get everything going for their first gig... and it's coming along. Though I am surprised at my friends. I invited over 75 people myself and none of them have gotten back to me asking about the band or wanting tickets. My friends know my tastes when it comes to music and they know I wouldn't support a group unless they were worth supporting. And these guys are!!!! They are truly going to be something some day. I wish people would give them a chance! It's not like they're playing heavy metal or techno, or something out there... they're playing great hard rock type music. I mean, just the groups they're trying to emulate - Goo Goo Dolls, Daughtry, Matchbox 20... good stuff, ya know! If you get the chance, check out Breckenwood on Facebook or if you can't see that, try Breckenwood on MySpace. Listen to their stuff, I promise it will not disappoint.
You know the drill... questions, comments - hit up the board to the right or email me at germiesjoy@yahoo.com
