Give me an S... Give me an I.... and a C... then a K....

What does that spell? How I've been feeling since Sunday... SICK.
It's been a crappy week because of the darn weather changing so fast. We went from 60 on Saturday to 30 on Sunday. Then me with my terrible sinuses starts to get a cold, which turns into a minor infection. OY. Sore throat, aches all over, ugh... I'll spare you the rest.
So, as you can imagine I haven't done much. Monday was my only really productive day. I went to my classes, had my vocal lesson (I'll give you an update in a sec), and then went to work. Woot woot. Wednesday I was supposed to have a test and my Philosophy Prof is being a real jerk about it, so now I'm going to have to go in on Monday... a day I should have off... to take the darn thing. I can bring him a note from my Doctor for crying out loud! I think he doesn't believe that I was really sick... :P I WAS!!
Lesson Update: First, do you guys like reading this? Let me know, cuz if you don't I'll cut it out! On to a recap. So, about 9:40 on Monday I get a text (she texts me all the time, I love it! Who else texts their vocal coach?!) and she's asking me stuff, during my classes mind you. Then I tell her that I've got a sore throat... her reply, "Dang :( ok will go easy on you sweetie :)" First, she uses emoticons all the time... it's great... Second, she calls me sweetie.. melt my heart. I've only known the woman for a few weeks and she calls me sweetie..Third, she was genuinely upset that we couldn't do much. Fast forward to lesson. Did our warm ups, recalled the intervals -- which I rocked again!, and then worked on a bunch of songs. First song, "Seasons of Love"-- Her studio's signature song in which they use harmonies that she wrote (Which American Idol STOLE... jerks); she taught me her version and it sounds FANTASTIC. There were only the two of us in there but it still was amazing. Next, was "All That Jazz" -- rocked that one out yet again, definitely one to work on. After that, "Still Hurting" from The Last Five Years -- Great song, I finally got the book for it and I can work on it more now... well once I get better. Finally, the surprise song that she randomly pulled out and I am surprised that I got through, "Think of Me" from The Phantom of the Opera. I definitely wasn't expecting that... and she had completely forgotten that I had a sore throat. Yet, some how I actually got through it, and I guess I sounded alright because she was impressed (literally, I wish you could have seen her face!) and she wants me to work on it. But I'm paying for it now... because she opened my sinuses so much and pushed me, I now am sick. But hey... IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!
And, that's it... man, these keep getting longer. Want it shorter? Want a rant about something else? TELL ME! Please!! I want your input!! Not just "I love it"... I want to know what works and what doesn't. I beg of you! It takes two seconds.. and my email is everywhere on this front page.
I hope you all have a very Blessed and Happy Easter or Passover, which ever you celebrate! Toodles!
