I should finish my paper right now but I can't concentrate... Too much has been going on for me to write a paper!!
So, I should update you on my life..
Saturday, May 2 -- FABULOUS day! I had the opportunity to see THE Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin in concert... OMG, freaking fantabulous! Amazingness to infinity and beyond. After the show I went to Stage Door, almost got in the back way because I saw the SM from the theater I work at and she knows the head builder at this one, but he wasn't there... then, I get a call to get over to the other side of the building because Patti is coming out over there. So I bolt, everyone's looking at me like I'm a freak, and then they realise.. OH! She's going to find Patti! NO DUH! I get over there and I'm searching for her, looking towards the limo that's parked there and I see reverse lights turn on... the car I am in front of is holding Patti... I freaking almost got run over by Patti LuPone. As the car is pulling away, I'm standing there looking in the car, mouth gaping open because I just did a 100 meter dash to see Patti drive away, but as the car moves past me I see her in the passenger's seat... and then... she looked at me. It was worth not getting an autograph to stand there and have her look in my eyes, one day I'll meet her... one day.
This past week I had the honor and priviledge to meet my brother's boss' brother-in-law... got that? This man has stage 4 cancer, is blind, and came here to knock a few things off his "Bucket" List. I truly hope he makes it back here again because he was a joy to have around, and it was truly a humbling experience.
Vocal lesson went alright this week. Not much happened. I worked on the darn Cadenza... I got it down after 20,000 tries... now just to repeat it, do it the first time, right on pitch... I like going sharp for some reason, better sharp than flat (I KNOW DEBBIE) but it just kills me that I don't have it down yet. I'll get it by June. I know that! Also found out that my vocal coach is also German and Italian... GO FIGURE, more in common!
Last week was exams. We'll just leave it at that.
Friday night and Saturday morning I was able to go to a Women's Faith Conference with one of my friends... she's gone through a lot in her life and I've been wanting to bring her to one for a while now but it just never worked out. But she absolutely loved it. We got to sit in the 6th row, saw my favorite comedianne, and talked about A LOT! Rhea, I wish you could have been there. It's something you should really be a part of, it would be very helpful for you. Perhaps some day we can go to one together!
Sunday, the 10 brings Mother's Day, A Chorus Line, and dinner... then Monday morning, bright and early, I'll be on a plane heading to NYC! I so cannot wait!! I'll update you when I get back because heaven know's I'll have pleanty to say!
May Peace and all Good things be yours! God Bless!
Love Always,
